From the 650 prayers recorded in the Bible we are left with little doubt as to the power of a praying person.
No matter what lies ahead for you these days, let's commit to moving forward only through prayer. From a new beginning to the same old thing, no matter your place in life we could all use a little boost in the arm to pray. This series mentions three specific areas for prayer.
Let's Pray it Forward and incorporate a little extra boldness into our prayer life.
In circumstances of imprisonment and sickness Paul prayed for boldness to share christ. What a perspective! Or all our pressing concerns today (and there are many), might we all increase our prayer for boldness over healing, or a new job, or a larger paycheck or....
It ever there were a group of people deserving complete annihilation, it was the people of God in Exodus 32, and they knew it. But then... Moses intervened, ultimately saving the lives of millions. Maybe we could do similarly.
Who cannot or will not pray for themselves, who is most undeserving of our prayerful intervention? For those people, the seemingly undeserving, let's offer intervention.
Today we wrap our brief three-week series on prayer with an unusually uncommon Prayer from Joshua 10. From today’s prayer, we learn that Joshua must have had a limitless view of God. Similarly, with us, the size of our prayers will reflect the size that we think God is. Let's broaden our understanding of God so we too may offer God-Sized Prayers.
