The message of Jesus is clear. After condemning the robbers and thieves in the temple, he took a firm stand on prayer by quoting his Father's words to the prophet Isaiah, "My house shall be called a house of prayer" (Matthew 21:13). Our desire at ALBC is to glorify God, love one another and reach our community with the compassion of Jesus. We do this through prayer. You are welcome to participate in any of the prayer opportunities that you see below.
Jesus told his disciples that they should always pray (Luke 18:1) and the apostle Paul instructed us to “devote ourselves to prayer” and to “pray without ceasing”. As we enthusiastically participate in various opportunities for public prayer, let's do so upon our wholehearted commitment to faithful private prayer.
Consider stopping in our fellowship hall for wonderful friendship, refreshments and prayer. This group is a pillar to our ministry and is always a joy to spend time with.
If we are to offer anything as a church it should be prayer. At the close of every church service we have men and women available for you to pray with. Our heart's desire is that no one leaves the service with the same heavy weight of life that they came in with.
Would you like to pray? You are welcome to join the email prayer team. After joining you will receive several prayer requests throughout the week and have the opportunity to pray for other believers in a timely manner as struggles arise. You can be added to the email distribution here.
