Joshua: Strong and Courageous. September 8- November 24, 2024
We all live from one challenge to the next. While the severity of the challenges may vary, the fact of challenges is guaranteed. Our study in the book of Joshua will show us how to successfully navigate life with both strength and courage.
From your own life, to the life of your family and the life of our church, we can all expect struggles, opposition and difficulties. The book of Joshua opens with a charge to be strong and courageous, then follows with spectacular stories of application. This 12 week journey through Joshua, by Pastor Robb Williams, will help you face your future with confidence and success.

1. To Be Successful (Joshua 1:1-9). Pastor Robb Williams
Looking for success and courage while facing this crazy world? You got it! Wether you are retired, in school, or somewhere in between, lets get ready for God to make us successful, courageous and prosperous.
2. Scars to Stars (Joshua 2:1-24). Pastor Robb Williams
We may look into a mirror and we see failures, weaknesses, but God is in the business of turning scars not stars. God looks at how amazing we can be with faith in him. Today’s story is all about God using each of us, no matter our past.
3. Navigate for Success (Joshua 3-5). Pastor Robb Williams
Joshua, crossing the Jordan, shows us several great steps for victory. We too can be victorious crossing our own challenges, be imitating Joshua. So whatever battle you are facing today (or have around the bend), The example of Joshua can help you move forward to victory.
4. Break Down the Walls (Joshua 6). Pastor Robb Williams
One the most memorable narratives of the Old Testament is Joshua’s conquest of Jericho. It is a witness to the miraculous power of God to overcome obstacles. I’m not sure what stands in the way of your obtaining victory, but Jericho stands as a testament to God's ability for you to break down the walls and be victorious
5. Ai Problem at Jericho (Joshua 7-8). Pastor Robb Williams
There was a big failure at Jericho that led to a bigger failure at Ai. Take a look at yourself and learn from Ai’s failure and apply a few good lessons.
6. Decision Making (Joshua 9). Pastor Robb Williams
Israel had a quick and horrible failure, then another success, followed by the failure of chapter 9. Give them some credit for creativity though, for this time they failed in a new and unique way and they left us with a great bad example for decision making.
7. More Please (Joshua 14:1-14). Pastor Robb Williams
This morning we begin the exciting section of Joshua that is filled with blessings and inheritance ... and Caleb asked for even more. As great as the blessings are that God has for us (and they are amazing!), there can be more.
8. A Place of Refuge (Joshua 20:1-9). Pastor Robb Williams
Within the distribution of the promised land (Joshua 13-24), there is a short chapter (Joshua 20) that speaks interestingly about “refuge.” Six cities were literally set aside for the purpose of refuge—safety—or sanctuary. These cities are symbolic of Jesus, our refuge. If you feel left out, abandoned, and alone, worry no more! God loves you and has provided you a place to rest.
9. We Heard it Said (Joshua 22:1-9). Pastor Robb Williams
Today's text is remarkable in that Israel found themselves on the brink of a full blown civil war as a result of "we heard it said". Let's receive today's text as a preemptive warning to help us all remain
healthy and unified.
10. And Now (Joshua 23:1-6). Pastor Robb Williams
Joshua is wrapping up his life journey at the age of 110 and gives some remarkable life advice. In respect of Joshua, let’s listen in on his end of life speech and consider how we could better align ourselves with him.

Within his farewell address Joshua made a passionate appeal for the listener to worship and serve the Lord. Joshua internalized his own message and re-committed his own life with a “with or without you” attitude. This is the same (re) commitment we too can consider. Here is how it happened…….
