Jesus is ____ .

April 20- June 1, 2025

Approximately one-third of the world's population professes to follow him, while countless others hold a deep respect for his life and teachings.

Who was Jesus Christ? What qualities distinguished him as a figure of such enduring significance? How did he come to shape the world on such an extraordinary scale?

This series examines the testimony of Jesus as presented in the New Testament, offering insights to complete the statement: "Jesus is ____."

Week 1: Jesus is Fulfillment (Luke 24:1-7). Pastor Robb Williams

We cannot even take a short weekend trip without meticulous planning. It’s no surprise, then, that the remarkable events of Jesus’ life were carefully preordained and even publicly declared in advance. As we explore Jesus as the fulfillment of Scripture, let us renew our dedication to Him and reaffirm our commitment to sharing His message with others.

 Jesus is… moral teacher. His teachings span a large number of subjects and included colorful examples. In application of these teachings we not only benefit ourselves, but others through us. Let’s not only consider applying his teachings, but let’s apply them according to the level of priority that he gave them

Week 4: Jesus is Victor (I Corinthians 15:1-28). Chuck Salser

We live best in the present when we hold a clear vision of our glorious future. In the closing verses of I Corinthians 15 (50-58), often called the resurrection chapter, we find a triumphant celebration of three great victories in Jesus. Amid life’s daily struggles, let’s lift our eyes to the future and rejoice in Jesus as Victor—because His victory is ours too.

Week 5: Jesus is Head (2 Timothy 1:8-14). Pastor Robb Williams

For all 100 glorious years of its existence, Abundant Life has been guided by the same leader: Jesus, the true head of the church. While we often turn to pastors and leaders for direction, we can rest assured in His leadership. That said, there are a few key considerations to ensure that Jesus is truly guiding both our individual lives and the life of Abundant Life Bible Church.

Biblical passages about the end times spark diverse interpretations, promising a dramatic and thrilling future. Despite our diverse backgrounds, we share a common thread: suffering. This universal experience weaves through each of our lives—just as it did through the life of Jesus, our exemplar in hardship. Whether in family, relationships, finances, or health, we all face trials. Let’s explore I Peter 2 together and uncover three profound and encouraging truths about suffering.
